From the beginning of my journey as a designer, I knew I didn't want to be just another one in the market. The passion for design was always great, but the curiosity and desire to go beyond the traditional boundaries of UX Design and Product Design drove me in directions that many professionals hesitate to explore.

I wasn't content with just mastering the tools and techniques; I was looking for something more comprehensive.

I am Felipe, and today I want to share with you the concept of being a “Designer 360" — a vision that transformed my career and opened doors I didn't even know existed.

But what does it really mean to be a Designer 360?

Imagine not only creating visually pleasing designs but also deeply understanding marketing, copywriting, negotiation, psychology, and personal branding. Imagine negotiating your projects not just as a designer but as a true business partner to your clients.

This holistic approach is what allowed me, for example, to move to Spain and work with clients from all over the world on diverse and challenging projects.

Additionally, being a Designer 360 enabled me to found the Mastering Interface Design (MID) and mentor other designers, helping them thrive in their careers.

Being a Designer 360 is understanding that design is just one piece of the puzzle. It's recognizing that to truly stand out, we need to understand and integrate various areas of knowledge that add invaluable value to our career.

This 360 vision empowers us to achieve high levels of success, performance, and professional satisfaction.

In today's society and market, saturated with information and constantly changing, the importance of going beyond technical skills and embracing continuous learning in multiple disciplines has never been more essential.

Being a Designer 360 is what enabled me to surpass six-figure annual earnings in dollars and to live in four European countries without having European citizenship.

Having a good understanding of business and finance is crucial for any freelancer or entrepreneur.

For a Designer 360, this means knowing how to effectively manage your own design business. This includes understanding budgets, operational costs, and the financial health of your projects.

To do this, understand the basics of accounting and financial management. Online tools can help you manage budgets and cash flows for your projects.

It is also important to establish clear metrics to evaluate the financial success of your designs, such as return on investment (ROI), which you can calculate based on the results your projects deliver to clients.

Pricing and Negotiation
